Anyway, recently I had made reference on the forum to end of the scratch built 1/35 scale Z4p.

Painting and weathering is near complete with a bit of 'tidying up of the edges', toning down weathering in the corners and on edges. Work is still required to fit small details currently stored safely in their box - T handles to side shutters, A end lollipops and side window deflectors and some attention is required to tidy up the tail lamp into something that resembled to the prototype.
The loco has been run in and is now a smooth performer. The loco itself does not have a large motor as it is never perceived that the layout will be big enough to haul large train loads of wagons (they all need to be built for a start!) although it will without trouble haul 4-5 wagons and crawls to shunt nicely. Control is by traditional DC and the lamps do not illuminate...its something I had considered installing however after much thought I came to the conclusion its not something I like to see on a model...for me it can almost make something look a bit "toy like".
The chassis has been built from a combination of Aluminium and Brass milled and profiled appropriately adding necessary weight where needed.
Body is a mix of plasticard and brass, with decals, lettering and numbering drawn by myself and produced by Red Firecracker Decals and Narrow Planet respectively.
I accept that there are a few details on the loco which may not be 100% accurate, however there is some distance between me and the nearest Z4p (!) and have had to rely on numerous Photos, documents and other information sources to produce this model.
After the wagon currently on the workbench the next project awaits!!!
