Hi there

I am in the process of scratchbuilding a SJ Op open wagon as the attached image. As construction continues I am finding it difficult to find any images of the underframe detail beneath the side stanchions (as identified).



They appear to sit onto a plate which is welded to the underside of the floor/ chassis. Does anyone have any pictures or info on what this detail looks like? From what I can see it appears that some form of welded plate is used, but the images I have are not clear enough to confirm this.

Can any one help?

Hi Rich,

As I presume that you still is building in 1/35 scale, I suggest you contact Rimbo Grande and Göran Engström ( a really nice chap!) and ask kindly if there is a possibility that you can receive a copy of their buliding instructions for the Op in H0n3 scale. This building instructions are very detailed with photos on both the 1:1 and 1:87 Op as well as drawings.
